Anantara Dhigu Maldives Resort, as reported by holiday goers who have vacationed there, is situated in a “dream location” which can be reached via speedboat from Male Airport in around 30 minutes. The resort has been labelled by almost all the guests who have stayed there, to be great for couples or families with babies and little children. The rooms have been mentioned as having been “stunning” and to have afforded great views, with the overwater villas having been especially commended by several guests. The staff have been described as having been “helpful, kind and warm-hearted”, with many saying that “everything is done to make things as comfortable as possible”. The food has been described as having been “divine” by many who have stayed here. Anantara Dhigu Maldives Resort has been reported to offer free bicycles for guests to use to explore the island, as well as ferries for those who want to venture out to Anantara Veli Maldives Resort. The resort also has a spa which many guests found to have been a “beautiful experience” due to the view of the fish swimming underneath them.

One guest mentioned that they ‘really admired the location of the island’ and they further praised the ‘clear waters’ and ‘white sands’. The villas and the rooms received notable praise with words such as ‘excellent’ and ‘superb’ from many guests. The staff and the service also received similar praise with ‘excellent’ being the most common choice. The food received critical acclaim, especially in regards to their ‘theme buffets’, which one guest described as an ‘amazing spread’. Many guests loved the kayaks with the ‘complimentary 2 hours’ system, as well as the ‘Dhigu spa’ with its ‘ocean view and clear water’.

The guests who stayed at Anantara Dhigu Maldives Resort described their experience at the resort as “perfect”, “amazing” and “comfortable”. The guests commented on the property as “impeccable” and “a paradise on earth” amidst “an exceptional setting”. Those stayed at the property highlighted the overwater bungalows of the resort as “fantastic” and the overall setup of the resort was described as “amazing”. The rooms of the property were described as “very well cleaned” and of “perfect size”. The hotel was said to be equipped with amenities including a “water sports centre”. The guests said to have enjoyed activities such as “scuba diving”, “kayaking” and “dolphin tours”. The visitors were grateful for the “very accommodating”, “friendly” and “professional” service of the staff. Overall, the guests have that stated their time at the resort was “a trip of a lifetime”.

Anantara Dhigu Maldives Resort has been described by those that have booked a stay there in the past, to be “beautiful” and a truly a “little piece of heaven”. The Sunset Villas have been especially recommended by guests for the great views of the sunset that can be seen from here. Staff were generally found to have been “kind and friendly” and the service, “excellent”. The resort has been mentioned to have a couple of restaurants on site, such as the Origami and Seafire restaurants which serve Japanese and Italian cuisine respectively. Some guests have mentioned that although the food at the restaurants were more on the “expensive” side, they tasted “great”. The breakfast buffet was described to have had “everything one could desire” laid out for guests to feast on. Anantara Dhigu Maldives Resort has been reported to offer activities such as snorkeling expeditions and trips to other islands nearby. The resort also has a spa where guests can choose from a variety of massage therapies.

The location of the resort was appreciated but many guests felt hassled by the boat ride experience that took them to the resort itself. They mentioned that the service was slower than expected and that the “boats were so crowded coming in”. The food and beverage were considered “passable” and the overall condition of the hotel and rooms were deemed satisfactory. The staff received mixed reviews with especially the receptionist gaining many negative reviews owing to “bad service”. The guests generally felt that it was an expensive vacation.

The location of Anantara Dhigu Maldives Resort was mentioned to be quiet and serene and was a positive from almost all guests. The service of the staff received positive remarks with many commenting on them to be “friendly” and “helpful”, however the receptionist at the resort garnered negative reviews across the board with almost all guests commenting on a “negative attitude” and “indifference to any questions asked”. The food and beverages were criticized by the majority of guests mentioning that “the breakfast was poor and unchanged for three days” and “not worth at all for the money spent”. The guests also complained that the management would shut down the restaurant and send diners to ask for room service at any time they wanted to. The pool area was also criticized by guests who claimed that “algae was visible in the pool and was unusable for days when it was treated”. The biggest positive that the resort gathered was owing to its private and quite ambiance.

Anantara Dhigu Maldives was reviewed by many guests who stayed there as a “luxurious and comfortable hotel” with many guests appreciating the rooms and decor. Many guests liked the location especially owing to what they called “perfect waters” and “beautiful beaches”. However, some guests also commented on the pricing and mentioned that it was “too high for what the hotel provided”. Food was conceived as “good” and “delicious” with many visitors agreeing that the restaurants were very costly. One guest had also commented on the pool as “ having green algae”. Another visitor noted the staff to be “unsmiling and unhelpful” while most guests thought the service was “helpful”. Extra activities provided by the hotel were noted to be “fun but very costly”.

Convenient beach access is much appreciated as well as the stylish interiors of the rooms. Gymnasium as well as the restaurants of the hotel is highly praised with a special mention of the food that is to be enjoyed here. This is a hotel that has seldom received negative comments by the guests who have stayed here. The hotel is described as breathtakingly beautiful. The gym at the resort is also frequently mentioned in the positive reviews while the option of using bicycles to get around the island has also been received very well. Guests have also enjoyed snorkeling, diving and fishing while staying at the resort as well as the food. However some guests have also mentioned that the costs of indulging in water sports as well as having meals at the resort is rather expensive.
