The ambiance at Somerset West Lake Hanoi has been to the satisfaction of guests who have stayed here recently. Though the overall appearance of the property is mentioned as being “old” and in urgent need of refurbishing. Lake views from the rooms are appreciated and the in-room facilities ranging from the washing machine, kitchen and iron & board are said to be excellent for individual living. Breakfast is described as “boring” with not much variety and the portions too are said to be too small. Largely positive reviews are seen on the level of service provided by the staff. However as the location is far from the city center, guests have complained saying it was not very convenient at all.

This is a hotel that has been recommended for families as well as travelling businessmen. The spacious rooms which are kept very clean have delighted many guests while the views of the lake have certainly heightened the appeal of the stay for many. The key positive feature of the hotel that has been repeated over and over again is the staff as many have admired their friendliness and helpful nature. However quite a lot of guests have also commented negatively on the breakfast spread of the hotel.
